On October 3, 2024, our Executive Director Maya Blagoeva participated in a major conference organized to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Bulgarian Petroleum and Gas Association (BPGA).

The event was dedicated to the topic “Energy Transition in Transportation in Southeast Europe” and brought together leading industry representatives who discussed the key challenges and opportunities in the context of the global energy transition. Maya Blagoeva participated in the third panel of the conference, “Technological, Regulatory, Market, and Administrative Challenges,” and presented V-Gas’s vision for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a sustainable alternative for decarbonizing the transportation sector. She emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainable practices that can support Bulgaria in transitioning to cleaner energy sources.

Blagoeva expressed confidence that with the right strategy and partnership between business and government, liquefied petroleum gas can play a significant role in reducing carbon emissions while providing cost-effective solutions for consumers and industry.

The conference provided a key platform for discussing the future of the energy sector in the context of the dynamic energy transition. Eva Abramjuk-Lete, General Director of Liquid Gas Europe, highlighted that autogas is a promising fuel with several advantages, such as low emissions and high efficiency. Svetoslav Benchev, Chairman of BPGA, noted that while the energy transition is necessary, it is essential to implement it at a socially acceptable cost.
