On October 3, 2024, our Executive Director Maya Blagoeva took part in a large-scale conference organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association (BOGA). The event was dedicated to the topic “Energy Transition in Transport in Southeast Europe” and brought together leading industry representatives who discussed key challenges and opportunities in the context of the global energy transition.

Maya Blagoeva participated in the third panel of the conference, “Technological, Regulatory, Market, and Administrative Challenges,” and presented V-Gas’s vision for propane-butane (LPG) as a sustainable alternative for decarbonizing the transport sector. She emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainable practices that can support Bulgaria in its transition to cleaner energy sources.

Blagoeva expressed confidence that with the right strategy and partnership between business and the state, propane-butane can play a significant role in a14> in reducing carbon emissions and at the same time provide economically efficient solutions a20> provide economically efficient solutions for consumers and industry.

The conference provided a key platform for discussing the future of the energy sector in the context of the dynamic energy transition. Eva Abramjuk-Lete, Director General of Liquid Gas Europe, emphasized that autogas is a promising fuel with a number of advantages, such as low emissions and high fuel efficiency. Svetoslav Benchev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Petroleum and Gas Association, noted that while the energy transition is necessary, it is essential that it be implemented at a socially acceptable cost.
