Leshten Village – Western Rhodopes

The picturesque village is located about 15 km from Gotse Delchev and 8 km from Garmen, offering a panoramic view of Pirin, which is especially beautiful in spring. Walking through the narrow streets of the village, you will be impressed by the authentic appearance of the old houses, preserving the spirit of the Renaissance era.

Waterfall Skakavitsa – Rila

Skakavitsa Waterfall is located in the Skakavitsa Reserve within the Rila National Park. It is the highest waterfall in Rila with a height of 70 m and one of the highest in Bulgaria, at 1,750 m above sea level. The path to the waterfall is surrounded by centuries-old white fir forests and passes through the Skakavitsa hut, which was the first hut built in the country.

Vidin – Northwestern Bulgaria

Vidin is home to the only fully preserved medieval castle in the country – Baba Vida. Its construction began as early as the 10th century. The place preserves the legend of Vida, who was the eldest daughter of a wealthy Bulgarian boyar. Due to her sisters’ unsuccessful marriages, Vida rejected all marriage proposals and built the castle, remaining there for the rest of her life. Visitors can enjoy the view of the Danube from the towers, which is especially beautiful in the spring.

Studen Dam – Western Bulgaria

The Studena Dam is located in the western part of Vitosha Mountain, in the Pernik Province. It was built on the Struma River between 1953 and 1955. Since the Studena Dam is a water supply area, picnics, fishing, and swimming are prohibited. However, visiting the place in spring is a feast for the eyes with the awakening nature and the magnificent view of the mountains reflected in the dam.

Eco-trail “View of Nine Mountains” – Rudina Mountain

The eco-trail is located in the Rudina Mountain (Pernik region). The warm, but not hot weather makes it a wonderful destination for a picturesque route, consisting of climbing the Sirishnishka Rudina peak (1172 meters), from which a unique rich panorama of nine Bulgarian mountains opens up. The trail is 3 km long in each direction and takes about 2 hours to complete.
