On March 22 (Friday), the V-Gas team joined the Multisport initiative – “Day of the Marathon Runner”. Over 70 employees of the company felt felt even more comfortable at work, wearing sneakers.

The event is right at the beginning of spring, when we think about how to live more healthily and comfortably. That’s why at V-Gas we keep our employees active and we are not only at work but in our free time. not only in their work but, but also by engaging in sports. We are considering to a36> make wearing sneakers on Fridays a tradition,” shared Petya Boyadzhieva from V-Gas.

The company often organizes team-building events for employees that involve outdoor activities such as rafting, sailing, horse riding, cave expeditions, archery, bungee jumping, rock climbing, etc.

I don’t think there’s a single employee who has never worn sneakers to work. Each of us has a hobby related to sports. We have fans of ice skating, skiing, running, spinning, Zumba, tennis (both on the court and table tennis), yoga, Pilates, fitness, folk dancing… Bobby, Valya, and Petya regularly come to work by bike, and Lily even participates in crossfit competitions,” added Petya.

About the campaign:

A sedentary lifestyle and working in front of a computer lead to serious musculoskeletal problems, obesity, stress, and a number of other complaints that could be partially avoided through sports. Statistics for Bulgaria show that 68% of the population has never exercised, 2/3 are overweight, and 40% spend more than 5 hours a day in a seated position.

“Day of Marathon” focuses attention on prevention and overcoming the consequences for a11> health from the lack of physical activity. Obesity, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure are only part of them.

The goal of the campaign is people not just on this day to come to work in their sneakers, but to find time and desire to exercise and to be active throughout the entire year.

V-Gas supports any beneficial initiative with the aim of increasing the physical activity and improving the health status of the population.
