On the website Renewable Fuels For Trucks European LPG Association (Liquid Gas Europe) and many other organizations are focusing on ways to reduce harmful emissions from heavy-duty vehicles. Companies are calling for accelerated emission reductions through the use of alternative options within existing regulations.
We publish the highlights from the information on the website.
Current standards for CO₂ emissions for new vehicles are not take into account renewable fuels. The legal framework of the EU for reducing emissions of harmful emissions in road transport divides responsibility along the supply chain.
The inclusion of renewable fuels, such as propane-butane (LPG), in the new CO₂ standards for heavy-duty vehicles will help reduce harmful emissions without compromising on-time deliveries and good logistics.
Including renewable fuels in CO₂ emission standards can provide a wider choice of climate-neutral and socially equitable mobility options that do not burden European citizens and businesses, preserve supply chain structures, and lead to a more comprehensive climate policy over the life cycle of vehicles.
Основните предложения за намаляване на отделените вредни газове при камионите са следните:
- Въвеждане на въглероден корекционен фактор (CCF) за отчитане на намаляването на CO₂ чрез възобновяеми горива;
- Establishment of a credit system to offset carbon footprints with additional quantities of renewable fuels.
