Since May 2021, Ewa Abramiuk-Lété has been at the helm of the European LPG Association (Liquid Gas Europe).
Esther Busscher, president of Liquid Gas Europe, said that the new CEO is highlighting the environmental benefits of propane-butane.
Since 2007, Polish-born Ewa Abramiuk-Lété has been actively involved in energy sector expertise discussions at the European Commission in Brussels. Over the years, she has become an expert in the field of gaseous and sustainable fuels and supports European rural communities. Combining her advocacy and professional communication skills, Ewa is determined to structurally engage Liquid Gas Europe with even more stakeholders in the energy sector. This will ensure that the energy transition is accessible and achievable for all.
“I am delighted to join Liquid Gas Europe – the voice of the European propane-butane industry – at this very moment in time, during the energy transition and the rapid development of European mobility. As the EU has set itself the ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, it is extremely important that all low-emission and renewable energy solutions are used to achieve this. LPG and bioLPG have excellent environmental performance in terms of decarbonisation and air quality,” emphasised Ewa Abramiuk-Lété.
Referring to Liquid Gas Europe’s recently launched study “BioLPG: A Renewable Pathway Towards 2050,” the Association’s new general manager said: “There are different paths for the LPG industry to help achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. With the right policy framework in place, we are confident that the projected demand for LPG in 2050 can be met with renewable propane-butane. And as our vision for 2050 shows, the industry is committed to the goals of the Green Deal. I am honored to lead the European propane-butane industry during this important transition,” she added.
