Although propane-butane is one of the safest and most environmentally friendly energy sources, compliance with the rules for its use is of utmost importance. Follow our safety tips to protect yourself at home and at work.

Here are a few of them:

+ Only use gas appliances and equipment in well-ventilated areas.

Always check that rooms where propane-butane is used are well ventilated and that air vents are not blocked. It is important to have an extractor fan in your kitchen. If your home has double glazing or is draft-proof, make sure there is still sufficient air circulation in the room.

+ Periodically check that the hose is not damaged and that the seal with the appliances is secure.

Always check the hose label. It should indicate that it is suitable for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) or GPL (Gas di Petrolio Liquefatto/Gaz de pétrole liquéfié); both abbreviations refer to liquefied hydrocarbon (petroleum) gas.

Also check for deformations from the correct cylindrical shape. To check if the hose has any cuts or punctures, you can use a foaming solution – soap.

+ Clean the burner nozzles regularly (on the stove and on the heating stove burner).

+ Use LPG/GPL certified gas regulators (pressure reducing valves).

The pressure reducing valve must be upright and airtight. Replace it periodically because if it is very old, there is a high probability that it is not in good working order. Check the tightness of the connections between the pressure reducing valve and the hose using a foaming solution. Make sure that the clamps on the hose are tightened securely.

+ Use gas appliances with modern safety features – a new generation of safer gas appliances.

+ Ensure access for prevention of gas appliances. All gas appliances of consumers must be a11> undergo annual technical maintenance.

The gas cylinders you use must undergo a full technical inspection and testing provided by Vi-gas Bulgaria every 10 years, so when the expiration date expires, it is imperative that you return them to one of our retail outlets.

– Do not burn coal in an enclosed space, such as an indoor barbecue.

– Never use ovens or gas stoves to heat your home.

Never place foil around the burners.

– Do not leave gas appliances unattended.

V-Gas complies with all safety requirements of national and European legislation in this area, but consumers must also ensure the safe use of propane-butane.
