The report focuses on the distribution of propane-butane during the pandemic and alternative fuels as a way to reduce harmful emissions into the air.
Every year the European LPG Association (Liquid Gas Europe) publishes an overview of its activities for the past 12 months and provides a12> guidelines for achieving its main objectives, focused on the following areas:
- demonstrating the advantages of propane-butane as a clean and innovative alternative to other fuels to European policymakers and stakeholders;
- presentation of the industry at key discussions;
- ensuring high quality standards and optimizing product safety and security during use;
- improving air quality and increasing energy efficiency.
The report for the past year pays special attention to the spread of propane-butane in the context of the pandemic and the opportunities for reducing harmful emissions. The financial consequences of the crisis increase the need for affordable and environmentally friendly fuel that can also be used in older cars. This is why the #AutogasOpportunities campaign has been created, whose main messages are:
- Air pollution is a problem of public importance.
- The widespread use of autogas can significantly reduce harmful emissions.
- Fuel affordability is key during an economic downturn.
In 2020, the Association stimulated dialogue between the sector and other businesses during numerous online conferences, webinars, and forums. It also actively participated in events related to the future of the energy sector in the European Union, presenting the advantages of propane-butane.
