The restrictions that the current situation imposes on travel abroad are prompting more and more Bulgarians who enjoy winter sports to look for suitable “terrain” to practice their favorite activities in the country. And while popular resorts such as Bansko, Pamporovo, and Borovets are full of tourists, there are other alternatives for skiers and snowboarders in Bulgaria.
We have selected a few of them especially for you.

The ski lift consists of two parts, with the lower part having a fairly gentle slope for beginner skiers. The upper part can be used by more advanced skiers.
The resort also has a 20-kilometer cross-country skiing trail. Nearby, you can enjoy beautiful views and go ice fishing.

The Uzana area is located at the foot of Mount Ispolin (1,524 m), in the heart of the Central Balkan Mountains. It is the widest mountain meadow and its name comes from the Turkish word “uzun,” which means wide, vast.
The slopes at Uzana are not on par with those in Borovets, for example, but nevertheless, there is something for everyone. Their total length is 3 kilometers, divided into 8 slopes at an average altitude of 1300-1400 meters. Access to them is easy—they can be reached by asphalt road and are suitable for both beginners and more advanced snowboarders and skiers.

About 2 km from the village, at the foot of Malak Mechit Peak (2535 m), there is a 1.5 km long ski run leading to the Mechit hut. The slope is served by a 1300 m long “Pomagalski” ski lift and a 250 m long children’s lift. In winter, the valley of the Lakatitsa River turns into a natural cross-country skiing track. There is a tea house and a ski wardrobe next to the slope.
Whatever winter destination you choose, use eco-friendly LPG fuel to get there. And for all mountaineers, we also offer a practical solution for heating food and drinks – a compact set of a camping stove and a V-Gas Mini gas cylinder.
