The significantly lower price of fuel is prompting many drivers to switch from gasoline to propane-butane, but installing an LPG system (automotive gas system) has other advantages as well.
Interest in automotive gas systems using propane-butane has always been high, but in the last year the trend has been even more noticeable in our country. More and more owners of vehicles are switching to AGU.
The use of propane-butane as fuel for gasoline engines provides a number of advantages, the main ones being:
- fuel costs are significantly reduced (in some cases by over 50%);
- the amount of toxic emissions into the atmosphere is much lower;
- the engine runs more quietly;
- increases the service life of the internal combustion engine;
- under cold start conditions, the oil film is not washed off the cylinder walls;
- automotive gas contains significantly fewer impurities than even the highest quality gasoline;
- The load on the spark plugs and catalytic converter is reduced.
It is important to note that the installation of a gas system should not be entrusted to garage workshops or uncertified service centers. Poor service can lead to rapid wear and tear on the system, inefficient gas consumption, and worst of all, the risk of gas leaks.
All costs related to the installation of an AGU in 2023 range from BGN 1,500 to BGN 2,000. The investment is fully recouped when the car travels more than 15,000 kilometers per year.
