Propane-butane is more affordable, environmentally friendly and economical than natural gas.
Propane-butane (or liquefied petroleum gas, LPG) has a wide range of applications in business and everyday life, as it is easily portable; it can be transported, stored, and used anywhere as an energy source. It is preferred over natural gas because of its reduced carbon footprint, convenience, and cost-effectiveness. There are sufficient reserves of propane-butane to continue production without any problems.
What are the main differences between propane-butane and natural gas?
- Natural gas is extracted directly from the bowels of the earth and transported through pipes.
- Propane-butane is a product obtained after the processing of crude oil in refineries. It is transported by rail or road tankers.
->Liquefied hydrocarbon gas is easier to transport and can be transported anywhere.
- Natural gas contains mainly methane and ethane.
- Propane-butane is composed of propane and butane.
-> Liquefied hydrocarbon gas has a higher calorific value than natural gas.
Discover the advantages of propane-butane in this short video:
V-Gas, as a reliable company with over 20 years of presence on the Bulgarian market for propane-butane and an 80% increase in new customers in 2021, follows the EU policy of reducing dependence on Russian energy sources. This is achievable thanks to:
– the availability of more suppliers of propane-butane than of natural gas;
– the mode of transport – not by pipeline, but by ship, rail, or road.
Therefore, no difficulties are expected in supplying sufficient quantities to the Bulgarian market.
